Super easy school holiday adventures

Build your perfect school holiday adventure with a family day trip to Singleton. With so many options to play, explore and create, you’ll discover endless new ways to make new memories.

  1. Start your adventure at Singleton Visitor Information Centre and the Townhead Park precinct. Get all the tips and information you need to plot your ideal day, grab a coffee or a bite to eat at the café, stretch your legs at the bike track and playground, and discover Matilda the tank.

     

  2. Unlock new perspectives and creativity with a visit to the wide and varied exhibitions at Singleton Arts + Cultural Centre (located in the Townhead Park precinct). The current exhibitions are Cohesion, featuring the works of Neilton Clarke, Will Maguire, Michael McIntyre and Kara Wood and Upper Arts 24, showcasing artmarking by Singleton’s senior high school students.

     

  3. Take a measure of time at Singleton Sundial, lauded the biggest in the southern hemisphere, then then make your way to Rose Point Park All Abilities Playground for fun and adventure for everyone.

     

  4. Continue on a tour of our award-winning playgrounds to scale three-storey towers, rope bridges and slides at Riverside Park on John Street.

     

  5. Refuel and refresh with endless options for lunch: cosy up in a café or grab a coffee on John Street or tantalise your taste buds with everything from fast favourites through to hatted restaurants or casual dining on the renowned Broke-Fordwich Wine Trail and Hermitage Wine and Food Trail

     

  6. Step back in time and explore Singleton’s amazing heritage and culture. Pay a visit to the Singleton Historical Museum in Burdekin Park (check for opening times first) or take a gentle stroll on the Singleton Heritage Walk on George Street.

     

  7. If action-packed adventure is more your thing, tackle the mountain biking trails at Maison Dieu MTB Park and Pioneer MTB Park offering exhilarating rides and breathtaking views.

     

  8. Or you can get a roll on at Broke Skate Park suitable for all skill levels.

     

  9. Experience Infantry Corps history, customs and traditions at the Australian Army Infantry Museum, the custodian of a collection extending from our first deployments as a fledgling nation to today’s diggers.

     

  10. Get out of town for more outdoor adventure with camping in World Heritage-listed national parks and boating at Lake St Clair. For family fun, run through fields of lavender and sunflowers, pet alpacas, saddle up for horse riding, or take a segway tour.
